UNIVERSITY COMMUNICATIONS University Communications uses print, broadcast, multimedia, social media and marketing channels to convey clear and consistent communication about the university’s achievements and the JSU experience. University Communications also supports academic and administrative departments in such areas as internal communications, event promotion, media relations, graphic design, photography, videography and social media. To submit news to the JSU Today email newsletter, send information to jsutoday@jsums.edu according to the format outlined here. ___________________________________________________________ New JSU logo All university departments are urged to transition to the new JSU logo by Jan. 1, 2013. This logo replaces the “Flying J” logo. The athletic block logo remains in effect. Before ordering materials, click here to familiarize yourself with the JSU Style Guide. The vendor you choose to order materials from must adhere to the standards in the JSU Style Guide. Two local companies, Alliance Business Services and Quality Printing, have the design files to easily create business cards and stationery materials for JSU. Alliance Business Services has set up an online ordering site, which can be found here. Requests for the new logo must be made via email to marketing@jsums.edu. Please indicate in what format you need the logo (i.e., jpg, eps, pdf) and for what purpose you need the logo. For questions, call University Communications at 601-979-2272.

He schedules paid underwriting announcements, public service announcements and station promos. Dale M. Larissa Hale, Music Manager larissa.c.hale@jsums.edu 601-979-2877 Larissa acquires/selects new music from record labels to add to the station rotation and assist sin selecting national programs to add to the station lineup. She trains all on-air announcers and assists in every aspect of the station from news to engineering. L.A. He produces and directs remote and studio productions and coordinates staff and student activities. Antonio Smith, Assistant Production Manager antonio.m.smith@jsums.edu 601-979-1852 Antonio is the videographer, video editor, writer, producer, director, technical director, master control operator, floor director, graphics operator and consultant for various studio productions, field productions and marketing projects. He also provides training and technical assistance to university departments. ___________________________________________________________ ATHLETIC MEDIA RELATIONS Wesley Peterson, Manager/Athletic Media wesley.l.peterson@jsums.edu 601-979-5899 Wesley oversees operations of the athletic media area, including oversight for football and men’s basketball. He coordinates media relations, maintains the department’s website, produces game day programs and media guides, covers game day events, compilies game and season statistics, and reports results to the NCAA, the conference, and media outlets. Wesley also assists with training and supervising student and game day staff.
